Tyler Chernesky is the co-planting pastor of City Church OTR in downtown Cincinnati – a church where everyone can be honest about their lives, supported in their difficulties, celebrated by their community, and challenged to take courageous faith steps forward.

Before relocating to Cincinnati, Tyler served as the Associate Pastor at Christ Community’s Downtown Campus in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District. He also co-directed the Four Chapter Gallery, a vibrant collaboration between Christ Community and The Culture House that exhibits thoughtful art and curates meaningful conversations.

Tyler studied English, History, and Religious Studies at Indiana University, and received his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Tyler shops at TJ Maxx, has a Costco card, and loves Ken Burns’ documentaries. He is passionate about creative communication, musical theater, and sunny beaches
